CRANE is a UKRI-EPSRC funded network established to strengthen and unify the UK’s cybersecurity research ecosystem. The network’s mission is to support, develop and nurture high-impact cybersecurity research across disciplines, while fostering challenge and insight from diverse stakeholder groups including academia, industry, government and the third sector. CRANE works to identify emerging trends and national research strengths, support pilot projects, and build an inclusive, sustainable research community that promotes career development and the exchange of ideas.
The CRANE All-Hands meeting is designed to bring the cyber security research community together to share research ideas and help networking to take place. In contrast to classical computer science conferences, it will not feature full peer-reviewed papers or proceedings, but we do invite members of the community to present short talks or posters on their up-to-date research. In this call we are inviting one-page abstracts which will be reviewed for relevance to CRANE.
Submission Guidelines
We invite submissions for short parallel session presentations and poster presentations. The guidelines below outline all you need to know, please make sure you review before submitting your abstract. We welcome abstracts relating to any topic area around cyber security. Interdisciplinary research is strongly encouraged.
There are two submission categories available, and authors may indicate their preferred format at the time of submission:
-
Short Presentation - Concise talks lasting 15 mins., wWe recommend a maximum of 2 presenters. Presentations will be grouped into hour long sessions which will include time for questions.
-
Poster Presentation- If selected, you will be asked to produce an A0 poster for display in the conference venue
Please note that, due to programme capacity constraints, submissions requesting a Short Presentation may be reassigned to a Poster Presentation at the discretion of the review committee.
However, submissions requesting a Poster Presentation will not be considered for a Short Presentation slot.
Authors will be notified of their final presentation format at the time of acceptance.
