Analysis of Current Challenges in the Prevention of Ransomware Cyberattacks

Abstract

The article provides a characterization of ransomware. The authors use a historical-logical approach to examine the main ransomware attacks that have occurred over the years. This research is crucial due to the great threat that ransomware represents. In addition, different methods for preventing, identifying, and eliminating ransomware are investigated. These methods are essential for combating this threat and protecting our systems and data. To contextualize the current relevance of this threat, the main recent ransomware attacks are explored. These attacks demonstrate the persistence and evolution of this threat in cyberspace. In summary, the article provides a comprehensive view of ransomware, from its history to current methods of prevention and removal, highlighting the importance of being informed and prepared for this growing cyber threat.
