Abstract

"Zero Waste" is a web development project in India aiming to promote sustainability and reduce waste through the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle (the three R's). It incentivizes users to recycle by allowing them to earn money for providing recyclable waste. The app acts as a bridge between users and companies, facilitating the sale of recyclable materials and promoting a circular economy. Additionally, it conducts awareness campaigns and collaborates with NGOs and the government to promote waste segregation, collection, and recycling. Checkpoints for waste collection are set up in metropolitan areas to efficiently gather recyclables, and the project integrates with government initiatives like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Plastic Waste Management Rules. Users can also donate or sell products through the app, further promoting reuse and reducing wastage. Overall, "Zero Waste" aims to create a sustainable environment by engaging users, companies, NGOs, and the government in waste management efforts.
